CapeCodOnline: Turtle stranding season began this week with 6 turtles washing ashore over the past 2 days.

These two, juvenile Kemp’s ridley sea turtles are being slowly re-warmed about five degrees per day at the New England Aquarium’s Animal Care Center in Quincy. Photo/NEA

Bob Prescott, executive director of Massachusetts Audubon Society’s Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary said all four turtles were in good shape and recovering at the sanctuary.
