Daily Mail: Nearly 40% of Atlantic salmon is being killed by parasites, researchers believe.

A study found that 39% of the fish are being lost to the parasitic salmon louse, which spreads from fish to fish and feeds on surface tissue.

The true mortality figure could even be as high as 55%, reports [England’s] journal Proceedings of the Royal Society B.
