Officials on Block Island are debating whether to upgrade a popular beach pavilion, or tear it down and build a new one.

According to an article in the Block Island Times, officials are considering four different proposals on how to upgrade the Fred Benson Town Beach Pavilion. The 23-year-old pavilion has had minimal maintenance, and it is heavily used during the summer months.
