Block Island Times: [New Shoreham] Shellfish Commission members have voted to send an advisory position to the Town Council asking to increase shellfishing license fees for the upcoming season.

Under the changes, a resident license for shellfishing would cost $20 instead of $15. The “Golden License,” given to citizens over the age of 65, would cost $10 instead of $1.
