A Gloucester, Massachusetts man and four friends escaped injury Monday [July 29, 2013] when they were thrown from their boat and then watched it crash in New Hampshire’s Little Squam Lake, according to an article in the Gloucester Times.
According to the New Hampshire State Police Division of Marine Patrol, 25-year-old Jonathan Janes of Gloucester was driving a speedboat with three friends while two others were tubing behind it. Police said Janes turned the boat abruptly so it took on water and shifted the boat, ejecting him and the three passengers. The two people tubing jumped off before the boat crashed into the shore.
