Boating Safety Course, photo courtesy/U.S. Coast Guard
The Maine Maritime Museum in Bath, Maine, will hold a beginner boating class to help participants gain the basic knowledge needed to safely trailer, navigate and operate a small vessel—all the information needed to obtain a boat license or safety certification that many states require.
Insurance companies often discount boating insurance for successful completion of About Boating Safely.
The course, taught by a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, consists of four classes on Monday and Wednesday evenings April 7, 9, 14 & 16, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. All course materials included.
Members $75; nonmembers $80.
Register by March 31.
