Times Union: Connecticut officials say a body recovered from the mouth of the Housatonic River has been identified as a kayaker missing more than a week.

State environmental police said Monday night the body was that of 21-year-old Jet Krumwiede of Milford. He had been missing his kayak overturned October 28 in rough waters in Long Island Sound.

Police said his body was recovered after a Corps of Engineers worker saw it in the river at about 2:15 p.m. Monday [November 5].
