CapeCodeOnline: Fairhaven, Massachusetts, police have confirmed that a body found washed ashore in Woods Hole Sunday [January 12] is that of a Brown University student missing since New Year’s Eve.

Fairhaven police Sgt. Kevin Kobza said the body of Dana Dourdeville, 21, of Marion was found by a volunteer civilian search party on the shore of Penzance Point in Woods Hole at about 2:00 p.m.

There is no sign of trauma on the body and an autopsy is planned, Kobza said.
