Due to planned repairs to several structures on Little Brewster Island, including the iconic lighthouse, the National Park Service has announced that tours of Boston Light have been cancelled for the 2014 season. The work is being done in preparation for the 300th Anniversary of Boston Light in 2016.

Improvements will include:

  • Repointing and recoating the lighthouse tower.
  • Re-siding, painting, roofing, and window replacement on the Keeper’s House, the Boathouse, the Oil House and the Fog Signal Building.
