Come next September, the scallop-loving crowds that converge on Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts, each year will have to head across the Bourne Bridge and down Route 28 to satisfy their cravings.
The annual Bourne Scallop Fest will move to the Cape Cod Fairgrounds in East Falmouth, ending the 44-year-old tradition of holding the event in Buzzards Bay, the Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce announced Wednesday (October 16, 2013). Next year’s festival will run from September 19 to 21 and be rebranded simply the Scallop Fest.
