CTPost.com: Penfield Pavilion, a $5.5 million project that took 5 years to complete amid sometimes heated debates over its size and costs, was compromised Monday by superstorm Sandy.

It was one month old.

Thursday, engineers working over the ravaged coastal area of this town determined that Sandy’s violent tides significantly damaged the building’s foundation, its floors and its sheet rock.
