Dozens of houseboats at Piers 6 and 8 of the Shipyard Quarters Marina off Charlestown, Massachusetts, face eviction due to a battle between the marina and the state over the marina’s decaying piers, according to an article on BostonGlobe.com.
The marina’s owner has said, through his lawyers, that eviction is the only way to abide by an injunction requiring him to repair the rotting piers, with their rusted steel pilings and collapsing wooden beams.
