CTPost.com: Oysters as small as 2” in diameter would be allowed to be harvested and sold under a bill that passed the [Connecticut] General Assembly’s Environment Committee on Wednesday.
In a 17-12 vote over the protests of Rep. Terry Backer, D-Stratford, director of the Soundkeeper Fund, the committee agreed that reducing the current 3” threshold could help Connecticut compete with neighboring states.
