CT Post.com: Scott Conant saw the zebra mussels as soon as he pulled up the ladder at his dock in Lake Lillinonah this fall.

“I found them growing on the underside of the steps,” said Conant, of Newtown, who is one of the leaders of Friends of the Lake, which advocates for Lillinonah.

And then Conant found them lining the seams of his wooden docks. He found them burrowed into the dock’s blue Styrofoam floating device.
