Suffolk Times: A Connecticut man who was getting help from police with his disabled sailboat in Shelter Island Sound was arrested Sunday [April 13] after cops learned he was wanted for a Connecticut probation violation.
Police said 45-year-old Shawn Eldridge of North Franklin called to report his sailboat was disabled about 1:00 p.m. He was assisted by the Bay Constables and Sea Tow who towed the vessel back to Brewer Yacht Yard, according to arrest reports.
