The Buzzards Bay Coalition is offering free Families Around the Bay programs in November.

These programs present an opportunity for the whole family to explore and learn about the Buzzards Bay plants and animals through a series of 2 free outings on Saturdays in November.

All sessions will run from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. During outdoor exploration days near the water, participants should dress to get wet and sandy/muddy.

  • Saturday November 2: “Salt Marsh Exploration” at Little Bay Marsh (1 Edgewater St., Fairhaven, MA)
  • Saturday November 9: “Forest Exploration” at the Flora B. Peirce Nature Trail (100 Falmouth St., New Bedford, MA)

Families Around the Bay is recommended for families with school-age children. The program is free; reservations are required. For more information and to RSVP, contact Gracie Mullen-Thompson by email at mullen-thompson@savebuzzardsbay.org or call (508) 999-6363 ext. 223.

Families Around The Bay is part of the Coalition’s Bay Adventures series – programs designed for explorers of all ages to get outside and discover Buzzards Bay. To learn more about all of the Coalition’s Bay Adventures, visit the Save Buzzards Bay website.
