While shooting the Wickford, Rhode Island, episode of New England Boating TV, the NEB crew enjoyed lunch at the Beach Rose Café, at the head of the harbor across from the Wickford Town Landing. Boaters can tie up at the long public dock here for up to 3 hours at no charge while they get a bite to eat or pick up lunch to go at the Beach Rose.
Tuna melt on pita with homemade chips.
The restaurant specializes in delicious sandwiches, wraps and paninis, and we enjoyed several selections, including the turkey reuben, chicken salad wrap and the tuna melt. All were served with homemade chips. The Beach Rose has indoor and outdoor seating and terrific views of the harbor.
Other items include burgers, salads, chowder and seafood dishes.
Most items—except certain seafood dishes—are under $10.
