The 43rd Annual Newport International Boat Show kicks off this Thursday, September 12 and runs through Sunday. As always, the show will feature new sailboats and powerboats, as well as thousands of products and services from both domestic and international exhibitors.

Multiple waterfront facilities along America’s Cup Avenue host the show, including Newport Yachting Center, Oldport Marine, Bannister’s Wharf and Bowen’s Wharf. All sites are accessible by land or by water-taxi service.

Thursday, Opening Day:

  • Adult One-Day Ticket (Sept. 12 only) $30
  • Advance Tickets for Opening Day $27*
  • Children under 12 FREE with an adult.
    *Plus processing fee. Advanced discount price cannot be combined with any other offer. Advance discount ends on September 11th.

Friday, Saturday or Sunday:

  • Adult One-Day Ticket (Sept. 13-15) $18
  • Advance Tickets $15*
  • Children under 12 FREE with an adult.

Two-Day Ticket Packages Available

  • Standard Two-Day Ticket Package:
  • $21 through Sept. 12
  • $26 on Sept. 13-14
  • Valid Friday, Saturday and Sunday only.
  • You will have the opportunity to select your two preferred days on the ticket purchasing screen.

VIP Two-Day Ticket Package:

  • $33 through Sept. 11;_$42 on Sept. 12
  • Valid on Thursday, Opening Day
  • This package includes a ticket for Thursday, Opening Day and you will have the opportunity to select your second day on the ticket purchasing screen.

Newport County Resident’s Day/Military Day:

  • Friday, Sept. 13
  • Tickets are half price with valid photo ID (Friday Only) *
  • Discount available at event only.

2013 Show Highlights Include:

Hands-On Sail Training: Nothing beats hands-on experience for improving your boating skills or learning new ones. This year’s show features a full schedule of hands-on on the water boating workshops.

Discover Sailing: Make time to visit Discover Sailing, located on Dock N-O at the Newport Yachting Center. Sign up for a free 45-minute Introductory sail with an experienced skipper (included with the price of admission to the show). The Discover Sailing program runs all 4 days. Weather Forecasting Clinic: Become self reliant in marine weather and forecasting! This entry-level course is for attendees with little or no marine weather background. Learn about weather principles, surface weather systems and features, weather charts and what goes into a human intelligence forecast.

Meet Yankee Lady Book Authors: Visit the “Authors Corner” in Tent C #52 on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and meet 2 outstanding authors who have captured the beauty of sailing through their writing. Joining us will be Michael Cosgrove, author of Imperfect Passage and Judy Silva, author of The Voyage of Yankee Lady: Circumnavigating New England on a Sailboat.

Kids Entertainment: Kids can enjoy the amazing face painting and balloon twisting talents of Sailor Donna. Hours: Saturday – 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM and Sunday – 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Location: near the Marina Dock Office at the Newport Yachting Center
