It’s just six weeks into the new fishing year, and fishermen in Gloucester, Massachusetts and other New England ports are already feeling pinched by new fishing cuts.

A recent article in the Gloucester Times looked at how the new cuts are impacting fishermen. Most catch limits were cut by about three quarters in the new fishing year that began May 1. And some fishermen worry that with a few more good days, they’ll be forced to stop by mid-summer.
