The owner of Badger’s Island Marina in Kittery, Maine is proposing a seasonal floating restaurant for the island, according to an article on SeacoastOnline.com.
The Kittery, Maine, Planning Board accepted the application of Darren LaPierre, the owner of the marina, and his business partner, Mike O’Neil, during a meeting on July 8 . Planning Board members used the word “barge” to describe the floating bar and restaurant, which town records indicate would be called “The Reef.” However, LaPierre said it is not a barge, but a 50-foot boat.
