SouthCoastToday.com: Town officials [in Wareham, Massachusetts] plan to apply to the state for funds to finance work on the imperiled Parker Mills Pond Dam adjacent to the former Tremont Nail Factory.
Town Administrator Derek Sullivan said Wareham is seeking a $1 million grant through the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs to “restore and repair” the Parker Mills Pond Dam. David Menard, interim director of Wareham’s Municipal Maintenance Department, is leading the preparation of the grant application.
