On the Water.com is reporting that the New Hampshire state record for bluefin tuna was broken on Tuesday, August 20, when Garth Morin, Bruce DelleChiaie and Rick Green landed a 962-pound fish aboard the Salt Shaker out of New Castle.
The fish was hooked near Jeffrey’s Ledge, and fought for more than 3 1/2 hours.
The previous bluefin record was held by Paul J. Wentworth, who landed an 865-pound bluefin in 2001.
