A lobsterman is fighting his eviction from a mooring slip in Massachusetts’ Beverly Harbor, claiming that city officials are using his history of late fee payments as an excuse to begin clearing working boats like his from the waterfront. But the city’s attorney calls the claim “utter nonsense,” according to an article on SalemNews.com.
Michael Zdanowicz Sr., 61, of Peabody has been a lobsterman for 42 years and has moored his boat in Beverly Harbor for more than 20 of those years, his lawyer says. But for at least some of that time, Zdanowicz has been behind on mooring fees owed to the city.
