Sippican Week: The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary of Marion, Massachusetts, has secured space at 13 Atlantis Drive to be used for boating and water safety courses.
For close to 40 years, auxiliary members used town buildings, such as the Marion Music Hall and the Town House, to teach the classes.
Recently, the auxiliary has used space at Lockheed Martin Sippican, Inc. Flotilla Commander Lee Harrison and Flotilla Commander Elect Warren Washburn Jr. appeared before Selectmen at the December 3 meeting to request using rooms in Atlantis Drive.
