If you want to get from Martha’s Vineyard to the Cape Cod mainland in under half an hour, your best bet is taking a 48’ freighter named Quickwater, according to an article on Martha’s Vineyard Patch.
The Quickwater makes the trip from Oak Bluffs to Falmouth in about 23 minutes, several times a day — year-round. The converted oil rig crew boat’s chief job is freight: it hauls newspapers and magazines, truck tires, car parts and other cargo between the mainland and the Vineyard. But it is also licensed to carry passengers.
