Inquirer & Mirror: The Nantucket Ship Chandlery will be closing soon. The Old South Wharf storefront supplied the Boat Basin with everything from bilge pumps to biodegradable toilet paper, said Bob DeCosta, owner of the Albacore fishing charter.
“The closing (of the Ship Chandlery) is just one more difficulty of having a boat on Nantucket,” DeCosta said. “If I’m in between charters and need a quick fix, I won’t have time to go to Brant Point Marina or Tugboat Tim’s.”
