EastBayRI.com: A boat carrying 6 people from Barrington and 1 from East Providence crashed off the coast of Prudence Island on Saturday night, August 31.
According to the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management, a 26’ powerboat registered to Barrington resident William Wall was motoring north in Narragansett Bay when it ran aground just south of Sheep Pen Cove on Prudence at 9:54 p.m. Apparently, the boat was trying to cut between Prudence and Patience Islands.
