IndependentRI.com: The kayak shop at Middlebridge [Narragansett, Rhode Island] may not open on time next spring. Town staff is finalizing its second request for proposals to operate the kayak and paddlesports rental shop on the town-owned Middlebridge property on the shores of the Narrow River.
At the Land Conservancy Trust meeting on November 21, [Rhode Island] Parks and Recreation Director Steve Wright said the new bid request will contain some “subjective” bid specifications, and the Town Council must vet and approve the bid language before it is sent out.
