Lobster races, a new seaside venue and gallons of creamy clam chowder made the eighth annual Chowder Festival in New Bedford, Massachusetts, the best-attended yet, according to an article on SouthCoastToday.com.
The Chowder Festival, one of the waterfront’s iconic events, took place at Pier 3 this year following Taste of SouthCoast’s relocation to the venue after the parking lot at Custom House Square — the fest’s former home — was converted into a grassy park.
