SouthCoastToday: The South Terminal project cleared a major hurdle Monday, when the Environmental Protection Agency announced its approval of a port facility hailed by officials as the most promising economic development in the city for the last 50 years.
Investment in the 28.5-acre terminal is designed to place Massachusetts in a leading position to capture jobs associated with the offshore wind industry, which officials project will create 43,000 new jobs nationally in the next 8 years.
