A structure that allows fish to swim around a dam in East Berlin has been in the making for 20 years, according to Steve Gephard, supervising fisheries biologist for the [Connecticut] Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.

The structure is finally complete and is called the StanChem Dam Fishway, since it is located on the East Berlin-based polymer company’s property.
