After nearly 9 months of rebuilding, the Rhode Island environmental advocacy group Save The Bay will reopen its Newport-based Exploration Center & Aquarium to the general public on Saturday, July 27, at 10:00 a.m.
The facility, sustained catastrophic damage to its electrical and filtration systems when Hurricane Sandy pushed almost 2’ of seawater and sand into the building. The renovated aquarium features new specimens and exhibits.
