SeacoastOnline: The Coastal Risk and Hazards Commission, created by a bill signed into law by Gov. Maggie Hassan on Wednesday [August 21], held its first meeting recently.

An organizational meeting was held Friday in Concord, where Cliff Sinnott, director of the Rockingham Planning Commission, was named chairman.

The Coastal Risk and Hazards Commission was established to recommend legislation to prepare for projected sea-level rise and similar hazards such as increased river flooding and storm water runoff.
