NorthShoreofLonginIsland.com: As Suffolk County [New York] prepares to award bids for dredging Nissequogue River and 2 other local waterways, town officials are hoping to get funding to help stabilize the shoreline at the Kings Park bluff at the mouth of the river.
The Suffolk County Department of Public Works will award 2 separate bids to Port Jefferson-based contractor Gibson & Cushman Contracting LLC, the lowest bidder for the projects to dredge Nissequogue River and to dredge Stony Brook Harbor and Porpoise Channel.
