MVTimes-RescueSafety In a matter a seconds, falling through the ice can be a life-threatening danger. Even in the best of conditions, it is a matter of minutes before a person is incapacitated by the frigid water. Trying to rescue someone who has fallen through the ice, can also be dangerous.

On Sunday, Oak Bluffs [Massachusetts] first responders got a chance to practice ice rescues with a new “rapid deployment craft.” The small inflatable boat can hold up to 5 people, and is designed to help rescuers work in any kind of situation.
