SouthCoastToday: Acushnet, New Bedford and state officials are still searching for the cause of an oil slick in the Acushnet River after finding a second spill at a nearby gas station.
Officials responded to an oil spill found in the river near the Saw Mill site on Mill Road Tuesday morning [November 26] and determined that the slick had entered the river through a Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) drain located at the Saw Mill site, according to New Bedford Fire Department Temporary District Chief Matt Ostiguy.
