Providence Journal: Gone are the onions and peppers strewn about the kitchen floor, the shattered glass that crunched underfoot, the rocks heaved ashore like pebbles, and the rugs and furniture left sea-soaked and ruined.

Still, the signs of superstorm Sandy’s fury are still painfully clear on the May morning that owner Bob Leonard leads a visitor around the Coast Guard House restaurant.
