A longtime oyster cultivator had his 1-acre farm in East Dennis, Massachusetts, hit by theft last week for the second time this year, according to an article in the Cape Cod Times.
James Ward said 40 plastic cages containing 12,000 oysters valued at roughly $10,000 were stolen from his farm on the tidal flats at Crowes Pasture sometimes between July 17 and 19 .
