An editorial in Monday’s (July 29) Portland Press Herald says Portland, Maine faces tough choices if the city is going to preserve its working waterfront.

Recent developments along the waterfront have shown that there is still demand for space near the water for seafood processing. But there may not be enough to justify zoning restrictions last modified in 2010. Moving forward, states the editorial, the city should not forget its commitment to a robust working waterfront.
