The Massachusetts Department of Energy and Environmental Affairs recently announced that 4 southeast Massachusetts communities will share $83,460 in federal grants to protect and restore Buzzards Bay through land conservation and infrastructure projects, according to an article on SouthCoastToday.com.
The projects are designed to conserve open space and rare species habitat, as well as reduce pollution discharges to shellfish beds.
