According to CapeCodOnline, a commercial fisherman was injured after a dredging scoop fell on him Tuesday, November 12, while he was onboard the vessel Black Bear, which was docked at MacMillan Wharf.
The accident occurred when the winch holding the dredge scoop failed, causing the dredge to fall onto the fisherman. The injured man was able to free himself from the scoop, but was reported to be experiencing back and shoulder pain.
