Patriot Ledger: With a $6 million project in its final stages, the city is considering how and when the 30-plus-acre Broad Meadows salt marsh will be open for public recreation.

The Army Corps of Engineers partnered with the city to restore the marsh, a project that included walking paths as well as ecological improvements. The project is in its final stages and will be completed in the spring, when construction fences will most likely come down.
