The New Hampshire Boat Museum in Wolfeboro is accepting applications for the winter Model Yacht Making Workshop, in which participants build a working model boat. The schedule starts in January, 2014, and runs for 6 to 7 weeks. Dates are determined by the group after all applications are received. The cost to participate is $395.

During the course, participants will build their own model sailboats with guidance from members of the Back Bay Skippers. The group meets once a week in the Museum’s heated workshop for the work sessions. All materials, except paint and batteries, will be supplied. Participants do not need any woodworking or model building experience.

Register and pay online here for the Model Yacht Making Workshop or call (613) 569-4554. Application forms may also be requested via email at

The deadline to register for the course is November 30.

For questions about the program, please call Mark Whitehead, Commodore of the Back Bay Skippers at (613) 539-4973 or via email at
