It’s day 2 of the New England Boating TV shoot on the Bass River on Cape Cod, and we just got back from fishing the rips off Monomoy, where conditions were ideal but the stripers less than cooperative. However, we did manage to land a 36-incher before the tide died. More specifically, it was Parker who saved the day by hooking the fish on a pink squid lure fished in the second wave of the rip. The thing that really cheeses me off is that she brought a banana onboard…talk about thumbing one’s nose at the fishing gods. I have a feeling we’re going to pay for her indiscretion on one these shoots.

More fun in store later, as we head out to shoot some water sports action with a local family, followed by a kayak trip with Bass River Kayaks. You can see the entire episode when it airs on July 15, at 7:00 p.m. on NESN.
