Officials from Connecticut’s Mystic Aquarium freed a leatherback turtle recently after it became tangled in fishing nets off Charlestown, Rhode Island, according to an article on TheDay.com.

The aquarium’s marine animal rescue team and a U.S. Coast Guard crew rescued the 600- to 700-pound male turtle after it was spotted by a local fisherman 3 or 4 miles south of Charlestown.
