Rhode Island Senators Jack Reed and Sheldon Whitehouse were recently honored at a ceremony on Prudence Island for their work in protecting the environmental health of Narragansett Bay, according to an article in the Providence Journal.
Roughly 30 state and national environmental leaders attended the ceremony where speakers said the two senators have been instrumental in keeping the spotlight on the environment and providing funding for coastal programs.
