Inquirer & Mirror: The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Fisheries Service has announced a voluntary speed-restriction zone has been established off Nantucket to protect an aggregation of North Atlantic right whales sighted in the area as of February 15. The zone is in effect through March 1.

Mariners are requested to route around the area or transit through it at 10 knots or less.
