Newport Shipyard reports that over the next 3 to 4 weeks, the SSV Oliver Hazard Perry will be hauled out at its facility for exterior work below her waterline, including installation of through-hull penetrations for sea-water intakes, replacement of zinc anodes, painting the bottom and topsides, and inspection of propellers and shaft.
The public is welcome to stop by and view the ship, although no one will be allowed onboard.
