EastBayRI.com: Wet and cold but otherwise unhurt, 2 sailors were saved from rough seas off Sakonnet Point early last Thursday, October 24.
Little Compton Fire Chief Rick Petrin said the men were aboard a 28’ sailboat en route from Bridgeport, Connecticut, to Dennis, Massachusetts, on Cape Cod. One of the men had apparently just bought the boat in Connecticut from a previous owner.
“It was windy and quite rough and they had encountered problems even before they got to Sakonnet Point,” Chief Petrin said.
