On Monday, federal officials toured Rhode Island seaside communities that were badly damaged during superstorm Sandy.

According to an article in the Providence Journal, officials toured South Kingston and Westerly to learn about damage from the storm and recovery efforts. They also listened to local officials describe the improvements they would like to undertake to protect roads and utilities from future storms.
